My First Chair Redo!

I blogged about my love for chairs last night…I just love ‘em.  I really want to learn how to reupholster chairs this year so this is my first attempt.  Maybe once I get my hands on a sewing machine, I can learn more!  Here’s my “new” chair … we’ll call this the “Stacey chair” – hehehehehe!

A Before Shot

??? ?

The old, yucky before – all she needs is some love!

?

The during: pulling off the old pad and fabric – eeewwwwww!

Rough her up with some light sanding

Add 2 coats of primer

AND here’s the the finished product!

Curves ahead!

Distress her a bit…here’s a close up of this effect

 Another close up

Isn’t she lovely?

She will look so cute once I get my desk all set up!

 Profile shot

So pleased with how she came out!
The total cost:
Chair $6.00
Paint $3.50
Fabric $3.30 (3/4 yard)
Total Cost was approximately $12.80!
Fabulous!
