Pretty Picture Frame Project

I was inspired when I found the following ideas on a blog called Mudpies and Marigolds:

Cute stuff!

I instantly thought I can do that!  I just happen to have an old wooden picture frame laying around that I didn’t know what to use for … it’s so cool when that happens.
What I love about the ideas on Mudpies is the simplicity of the wreath and frame.  I also like being able to use whatever is laying around.  I have been digging on fabric rosettes, pennant banners and lettering lately so I just decided I was just gonna try all three at once!  Nothing like jumping in full throttle!
Here’s what I created last evening:
stencils with fabric paint

cute pennant banner!

adding some color

burlap is so versatile for so many things

fabric rosettes with a button on top

I like how it worked out and it is perfect for right by my front door entrance.   Ahhh…a perfect combination of some of my favorite things: ribbon, scrapbook paper, buttons, fabric and stencils!
