I found some goodies the other day …. namely a brand new $2 linen lamp shade with the plastic still on and a $1 candle stick lamp base in good working order. Perfect. I have poor lighting in my home and I am always on the look out for ways to improve and add some lighting. I was also hoping to find a new lamp for the antique dresser I just finished. So with a few touches I created this beauty…I really think it is a cutie.
Here is my before:
|Nothing fancy…white…plain and simple.
Here is how it turned out:
|With just some little details, the lamp
went from BORING to ADORABLE!
|Rosettes are easy if you don’t mind some glue gun burns…I took
|All lit up for some evening ambiance
(please excuse my unfinished walls)
|I used ribbon for the trim … I really like how it came out and will be
onto lamp #2 this week.
|My $3 project was well worth it!|
|Nice texture with simplicity…just what I was hoping for!|
Yard sale season is beginning…what treasures will you find?
