Tea Cup Birdfeeder

I have an affinity for birds. I have always enjoyed watching them and trying to identify them. I have a trusty bird book I often consult to try to identify what kind of bird I am watching. I have a few cardinals that regularly visit my feeder. They are stunning and I enjoy watching them quietly from my window. I thought that due to the hot weather, they may enjoy a place to stop for a bite to eat and a bath. After all, it is nearly 100 degrees here!

My 50 cent teacup and saucer works great for this!
A rest stop for dinner and a bath!

A fun way to repurpose an old cup and saucer!
And perfect place for my feathered friends on
a hot summer day!

  1. Sweet spa for your feathered friends! Like the special sign and bunting, so welcoming.

  2. Very thoughtful of you to think of our feathered friends during this blazing hot summertime! Cute idea! Love the added sign and flags!

  3. Very cute. How did you attach the dowel to the saucer? Thanks.

  4. Thank you Rhetta! Thank you Jan! Once the birds find it is there, I am sure they will love it! It will be cute to see them splash around! Melody – the dowl was attached with hot glue…that works for just about everything!

  7. I love these little teacup birdfeeders every time I see them…..so English cottage garden which I adore! I like the addition of the sign on yours.

  8. Oh this is just the cutest thing!! How adorable is that with the ‘spa’ sign too! Thanks for this adorable idea — it’s been HOT here too and I’ve had birds, squirrels, chipmunks and even a large cat come to my big bird bath. The poor cat comes every evening just before dusk and drinks for about 10 min., then she/he curls up in there for a quick soak and is off again!

  9. So cute~ love this and the sign is just perfect! Thanks for sharing at Feathered Nest Friday! :)
