This week, I am on vacation for the holiday and have been away from the paint brush for almost a week. It is painful. I must truely be addicted to painting. I miss it so much.
I am making lists of upcoming projects on my agenda and pinning inspirational photos like crazy! Today I spent the day in Gettysburg antiquing and junking which just made my desire to create and recreate worse. I had a fun day though and will share pictures from my day tomorrow. I was discouraged though as I saw many items I would have typically picked up, but with a 3 hour drive home with the family suitcases in tow, there is just no room for anything. Boo. It WAS great to window shop and get some more inspiration. So…I have spent the week blogging about the past year, but now I am itching to get back to work. Here is a project I completed last week prior to vacation. I thought you may like to see it too. I love rocking chairs. I love everything about them although now that my girls are grown, I no longer have a need for them. Double boo. The beauty of beginning a new business (The Blessed Nest) is that I can create great pieces that others will be able to use and I have no practical use for. Beautiful. So off to the Nest for this chair! I am sure someone will adore it. Picture a bland boring brown chair to start. My before shot is too dark to use…sorry! Here is the sweet after:
Betty Blue just needs to find her new family…
I am sure it won’t be long!
Have a nice evening…I am off to have some
cake and play Yatzee with the family!
