I have to fight my natural instinct to indulge in creativity sometimes. Such as when I am doing neutral pieces.
Neutral is not easy for me and yet, it is what most people seem to want.
I finished up a dresser this week and struggled to just let it be. Simple, easy, no extras. I did it, but it wasn’t easy.
I do like it actually.
I’ll admit to that.
Sorry about the lousy before pic, but it was all I could find.
This dresser is solid with pretty hardware.
It was quite uninteresting really.
{Blah}
Then I did ‘er up.
Even with the neutral color, she is s-w-e-e-t!
I used Glidden’s Antique White.
Have I mentioned that I LOVE Glidden paint.
Well, I do.
I don’t have a name for her yet so I’ll get back to
you on that.
She is headed to the craft show this upcoming weekend and I am sure she will sell fast!
I think she would look cute in a bedroom of nursery.
Hope someone else thinks so too.

I struggle so much with neutral makeovers! This one turned out great though! Love that hardware! I’m sure it will sell quickly!!
the dresser turned out so pretty i love the silver hardware with it!
I can never leave well enough alone!! Love the clean white look!
She without a name turned out lovely. The keyhole details make the piece.

White sells, no? And it’s classicly beautiful…
I have a question. Do you take the stain/finish off before you paint your items or do you just work over them?
