I can’t wait to show you my newest redo!
It feels like it has been awhile since I have had anything new for you (I am sure this is all in my mind) so I am happy to say that yesterday I finished three pieces. I went to bed feeling super productive. I love that feeling.
Megan and I picked up this dresser (with an adorable matching mirror) for The Blessed Nest on the same day as the craft show. Megan laughed at me when I told her I had just bought a dresser while on my way down the street to get a milkshake. That’s just like me. Always shopping for the Nest. Here is was before I got my mitts on it:
Do you see the potenial in this gorgeous piece?
I did.
Her name is Kiss Me Kate.
This is piece was inspired by someone who continually inspires me…
Marion AKA “Miss Mustard Seed” and this was the piece that I fell in love with –
Marion AKA “Miss Mustard Seed” and this was the piece that I fell in love with –

How did I do?
She turned out much better than I had anticipated.
I loved her the minute I laid eyes on her.
I think someone else felt the same because within 5 minutes of posting her, she was SOLD!
Now that’s pretty darn cool.

Your makeover is beautiful! I love the colors and I bet selling it so fast was bittersweet! It’s sad to see such a pretty piece of art go but at least it’s to someone who loves it as much as you do!

Love it! I have an old dresser that I just might have to paint like this.
Saw this on Funky Junk Interiors and had to click to see more. Gorgeous!!
The transformation is wonderful, I love it… THe colors, and the pattern you used, it looks perfect.
Oh Wow! What a great makeover!!!
Beautiful!You did a great job
Saw your feature at It’s Overflowing. I love the shape of your original piece. The skinny legs and scrollwork (?) at the bottom center give it femininity, but the curvy lines you added bring more flow and femininity as well. Very fun pattern.
Looks beautiful!Love the colors too.
(((Hugs)))
Anne
That looks so gorgeous! I love the colours and the patterns, reminds me of Wedgewood!
Stunning ! love it! So creative!
lol. I posted to Under The Table and Dreaming right before you. You appeared when I refreshed the page. Recognized your caption so I had to click in and make sure it was you (the pics were still processing). Are you following my through the net? 😉 p.s. did I mention the piece is lovely?
p.p.s. it’s funny how similar the bones of our dressers are?

Keep up the great transformations.

I love the dresser you did a great job.
She’s very sweet indeed! At first glance, I thought it was a MMS piece. You were definitely inspired!
Perecft answer! That really gets to the heart of it!
omg i've just found your blog and fell in love with your pretty face! what a perfect hair cut with that face style!i'm your new follower please follow me back! 🙂
It’s one thing to do good because you really feel it, quite another to think that something good will happen to you because you picked paper towels up off the floor for the cleaning lady. Self absorption is a pretty tough nut to crack and requires a lot of soul searching to fix. Doing something “good” doesn’t necessarily clean up your karma.
Wow those are gorgeous, also makes it nice to do the laundry. Mine are in my kitchen. No really any way to hide them, yet anyway. Of course the entire kitchen needs to be gutted but I am very grateful not to be doing laundry in a pot over a fire or in a creek somewhere!
Just cause it’s simple doesn’t mean it’s not super helpful.
stacey, you did a beautiful job recreating that look!
Hi Stacey: What a lovely new look for this dresser–I like it a lot. (I also love Kiss Me Kate a lot!) Take care, and have a great week!
