I have finally finished a project!
I have been too busy with life and I had unintentionally gotten away from my love of painting.
That means life had become simply too busy.
I am glad to be getting back into my groove.
I feel such therapy after painting.
Here is a project piece Megan and I purchased for the Nest several weeks back.
I was thrilled to have found it.
I had been searching for a nice antique sideboard so I felt like I struck gold with this gem.
A gorgeous antique mahogany sideboard.
In think it must have been stored in a barn or something as it was really beat up pretty badly. Not to mention neglected.
I originally planned to paint it black or antique white, but I wasn’t sold on the black. I began by sanding down the top and much to my surprise, the wood was just beautiful.
I had to salvage it.
I decided to go with the plan for white, but when I began to paint, the piece showed a ton of pink spots
through even with priming.
Ok…onto plan C.
When you redo furniture, you need to be able to roll to another plan quickly as issues can arise so daggone often.
Here is my before picture:
Don’t I look pleased as punch?
I am happy to introduce to you to this lovely lady…
She sure is fitting for the season.
