I know some people may have no idea what motivates a blogger to blog. It makes no sense to some I know. It is a time-consuming thing to commit to blog and to bring a variety of content. It is a lot of work. I have to say though that one of the things that I absolutely LOVE is the feedback readers give me about a piece I have done and how it has motivated them to try something on their own! To think I helped to motivate someone to try something they have never tried before is such a huge compliment to me! When I receive an e-mail with questions about a piece or a technique I used, I try my best to answer it. This is just the thing that keeps me going and motivates me to keep blogging. My readers are inspired or motivated and they in turn motivate me! It is such a cool give and take. I had someone named Scott contact me a few days back with questions about how I had created my “Red Hot Rhetta” piece. I suppose he found me via Pinterest.
He asked several questions as he desired to refinish an antique dresser for his wife. I tried my best to guide him and asked him to send a picture of his project when he was done so I could see. I was thrilled when I discovered he had sent me a picture! I couldn’t wait to open the email to see what he had done!
Look what he created:
Now you know why I love what I do…
