From Boring Dresser to Holiday Buffet…

I have not had much time to work on furniture this winter thus far although I have high hopes to do so in the future.  Truth is, my workspace is my basement and it is unheated making doing any painting nearly impossible.  My place of employment closes down 12/28 leaving me unemployed.  Next year is going to be an interesting one for sure.  More on that later, but for today I want to show you my latest transformation.  I was busting my hump to get it done before the snowstorm as I generally try to stage my pieces outside due to lighting issues.  My next house will have wide open spaces and a huge heated and finished basement I am sure :o)
I apologize for the lack of before pic, but like I said my basement was cold and dark.  Picture a boring wood dresser with much potential.  Here is the end result of this transformation:
Wouldn’t she be perfect for your New Year’s Eve decorating
with her sparkly paisley designs?
I really like how she came out.

  10. Stacey – I love what you’ve done with this dresser. It is fabulous in Paisley. Thanks for sharing. Patti

  11. I propose you throw yourself into your furniture restoration to replace your lost income. One out of every ten could go to your church. When you’re back to work at a “real” job, you can go back to doing it part-time for your church. God may have been having you practice for precisely this turn of events. Maybe it’s time to teach a class at a local center, too!

  12. love how it turned out great job

  13. Man! That looks like it took forever Stacey! Turned out gorgeous though! Hope you’re having a great new year!

  17. I think that what you posted made a great deal of sense.

But, think on this, suppose you typed a catchier title?
I mean, I don’t want to tell you how to run your website, however what if you added something that grabbed a person’s attention?
I mean From Boring Dresser to Holiday Buffet? is a little
plain. You might glance at Yahoo’s front page and see how they create post titles to grab viewers interested.
You might try adding a video or a pic or two to get people interested about what you’ve written.
Just my opinion, it would make your posts a little livelier.

  18. Spot on with this write-up, I seriously feel this amazing site needs much more attention.
I’ll probably be returning to see more, thanks for the information!

  19. Everyone loves it when people get together and
share opinions. Great website, continue the good work!
