Like I said in yesterday’s post, I managed to get a lot done Friday afternoon on my day home. I worked on a lovely pair of dark, cobweb-filled adirondack chairs that I had been storing in my garage with the intentions of repainting last year. Yep, I said last year. They sat for a long while in all their pathetic glory. They did not inspire me at all. I had no vision for them and honestly, I wasn’t sure I wanted to deal with all the painting of the cracks and crevices that would be involved. I also wasn’t sure if I would sell them or keep them. So..there they sat in the dark garage tucked under the work bench.
Since then, I have been working hard to work on the pieces that I have just had sitting around.
It is time to clean out all the things that are cluttering up my garage and basement workshop. Am I he only one with a garage full of furniture? So full you cannot move and that you have to make room for the mower? My husband loves me.
The sheer fact that I have been in a clean out mode offered enough inspiration to get going on these chairs.
Here is the before:
My little chevron table fits here perfectly, don’t you think?

I am lovin’ how they came out.
I hope to spend much time in them watching the kids chase fireflies and sipping coffee this summer.
Yep, that’s the plan.
