I found this really cute (and unique) petite dresser at a barn sale last week. It was tucked away and underneath lots of stuff, but I spotted it anyway. I liked the fact that it had drawer handles and not pulls…it looked different that most dressers I have seen or done. I thought it looked a little more industrial if you will. I just liked it. It was a cute piece and I thought I could do something with it.
I tried a new color on this…Artissimo Milk Paint (by Miss Mustard Seed of course!)…it is a rich navy.
How glorious is that?
I love how it came out…at first I wasn’t sure what to do…leave it as is or hand paint a bit, but I decided to embrace its natural chippiness which exposed all the old white and brown paint underneath which I thought looked cool.
I threw on some Clear Wax and added some charming casters and he was all ready.
I say ‘he” because I think this piece looks masculine and edgy.
A little rough and tough.
I love it.
He certainly is chippy.
Yet to the touch, so smooth.
