So if you saw this dry sink posted on Craigslist, would it have interested you? Or revolted you?
Would you have paid attention or just kept going?
I think this one was overlooked.
It is a nice, solid wood piece with great potential…the problem was that it was difficult to see the potential in it.
In fact, I posted this very picture on my Blessed Nest page on Facebook to see if anyone was interested in having me custom paint it for them.
No one responded.
Ho hum.
Crickets.
Nothing.
I figured no one could see the potential.
Sometimes I assume everyone has the vision to see it, but truthfully I don’t think everyone can.
Silly me.
I painted it up in a winter white with distressing to show off her lovely dark wood and sealed it up in Miss Mustard Seed’s Help Oil.
Oh man, I love that stuff.
I need to write a post on that product later…feel free to remind me.
In the meantime, look at how pretty that homely little dry sink turned out:
Needless to say after I painted it and posted it for sale, I had LOTS of interest…and it sold quickly.
Behold the grand power of paint, my friends.

Hi Stacey – It looks clean and crisp in simple white. I’d love to hear about your experience with the hemp oil.

I always say painting is a skill, but vision is a gift, and you definitely have it! 🙂 It’s so pretty-I could see it in an entry way or a bathroom, so glad it sold quickly! Been wondering about the hemp oil, too….

Very very nice. Can you please tell me more about the hemp oil for sealing please. I am looking for a good sealer that I can use on any paint that I use, whether it is chalk or latex. Is the hemp oil good for sealing over latex paint? I would appreciate your advice on this if you could please email.
Best regards

Hi again Debbie!
I use Miss Mustard Seed’s Hemp Oil – it is about $12 for a smaller bottle, but it goes a long ways. I think you can buy a bigger one, too. It can be used as a sealer/topcoat on ANY paint. Milk paint, chalk paint, laytex, etc…It can even be used on raw wood to revive and hydrate the wood. It is an alround great product and I love that it is all natural – it can be used on any surface and safely. It seal well and leave it looking rich and with a little sheen. I love that you can use it on whites too without yellowing the paint like poly would. You have to try it…it is really a quality product! Good luck!

Hi Stacey,
I have the same one. This will be my first project. Do you have any tips for me? Anything you would have done differently if you had to do it again? Also I am really not sure how much to charge for it. Any tips at all I would love! thank you 🙂
is this for sale and how much?
