Creative Inspirations Linky Party

Welcome to the Creative Inspirations Linky Party at Embracing Change!

Record low temperatures have been occurring all over the country..and BABY it’s COLD outside!  We have been experiencing temps that have been dipping below zero where I am.  It has not been fun.  In fact, I actually have a serious dislike for the winter months.  I bide my time to make it through. I enjoy a snowfall or two when my family is all home and we are stuck indoors making crafts, cooking good food or even watching the kids play outside, but then the happiness ends for me.  I am thanking the Lord for a garage for the cars this year…this is the first year ever I have had a garage to pull the car into.  It is so exciting for me.  You should have saw me the first time we pulled the Jeep in to avoid the impending snowfall…I did a happy dance!  I don’t like the cold at all.  I am spending the winter in my flannel jammies, slippers and with a cup of hot tea in hand.

Last night, our development didn’t have any heat as there were issues with the gas line.  It was ot the most fun I ever had, but we did fine.  We actually packed up a suitcase and the dog to head to Grandma’s for the night.  As we left the neighborhood, we saw one of the workers and stopped to ask if any progress had been make on restoring the heat and thankfully, he said it would be on in one hour!  So we picked up some take-out and headed home.  That was a blessing!

Like I said, winter is not my favorite. I want to live in flip flops year round and visit yard sales and the pool weekly.  I want to paint outside where the only concern I have for the day is if a gnat has flown into my paint.  I want to cook exclusively on the grill, drive around with the car windows down with my music playing loudly and plan vacations to the beach.  That’s livin’ right there.  Hmmmmm.  OK- back to reality!  Time to share some ideas and inspiration!

  1. Been 40 below here! No heat would be awful and I’m with you on the flip flop thing! Sorry, I took the first 3 spots, but I’ve missed linking up for a while! ;)

  2. Thank you for the party! Yes, it’s too cold here. My paintbrush froze in water last night outside the garage ;) It warmed up to 6 above today.

  3. Brr … it is cold here in NYC, but not quite that bad. I’m avoiding going out unless I absolutely have to! Thanks for hosting:)

  4. I agree Stacey….it’s been toooooo cold!! Sounds like you and your family do a good job of making the most of it, though.

This week I joined the Project Inspire{d} hosting team. Our link party goes live every Monday night at 8 EST. I’d be delighted if you would consider popping over and linking up some of your fabulously inspiring posts:

    Wishing you An Extraordinary Day!!

  5. Hi Stacey – Let’s hope the worst of this cold weather is on it’s way out. Up here in Canada, we also are experiencing frigid cold weather. Stay warm. Thanks for the linky party. Stay warm.

  6. Hi Stacey,
It’s freezing here too and last week I had to travel to Northern Ontario where it was -40! The inside of the windows in the car were covered in ice..brrrr, lol.
Thanks for hosting. Love the inspiration!

  7. Love your last paragraph me too! Garage sales all year round :–)
