This week has been one of those weeks. It has been very busy and I have been running from place to place to place. Too busy with not enough rest. I am the kind of person that can be very crazy busy for 3-4 days, but then I need to be home to recharge. I find spending time at home just putzing around my house, cleaning and paint furniture totally rejuvenates me. When the busy time is extended for a week, I get really tired and feel the burn. This has been one of those weeks. I am feeling the burn. And coupled with the fact that the kids STILL haven’t fully resumed some sort of normal schedule. The cold this week affected the kids as well as one day, school was cancelled due to the extreme low temperatures. We also dealt with a day without heat at the house. In addition to the weird week that it was, the winter presents many challenges for refinishing and repainting furniture. It was much too cold to do any painting this week – I paint in the garage (so happy for a nice garage!), but my little heater wasn’t going to make a dent in the zero degree temps. I didn’t even try. Today I got back to it, but I am now feeling very behind. I am a hard-driving, goal-oriented kind of girl. I am drived by the desire to achieve and cross things off my to-do list. I have high expectations for myself so I am always working toward my self-imposed goals. Well, this week fell short for me. I feel I accomplished nothing! Is anyone else like me? I am hoping this week is better and I am able to get more done. I have some pretty pieces in the garage to finish and I can’t wait to show you!
I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels that way! I don’t feel like I can get anything accomplished lately. I just can’t get back into the groove since Christmas. Here’s to a better more productive next week!!! Happy New Year!
