Apron Strings Milk Painted Dresser

Oh you are going to think this piece is just darling!
I certainly do!
I found this antique oak dresser on Craigslist and my hubby was a doll and picked it up for my on his way home from class last week.
He is a keeper I tell ya.

He helps me with lifting, picking up pieces, helping with difficult hardware that maxes out my patience level and so on…I just love that man.
He delivered this adorable piece to me last week.
I am pleased with it.
It needed a small repair, but nothing really noteworthy.
It is just pretty.
My favorite part are the wooden keyholes.

coral pieceIt had been used to store vintage linens…how perfect is this piece for that?
I had been searching for the perfect dresser to try a new color out on…Miss Mustard Seed’s Apron Strings is a gorgeous shade of coral.
I needed to find just the right piece and this was it!
This smaller piece would be perfect with just the right POP of color.
The color was a good choice for it

The stunning glass knobs are from D. Lawless Hardware…have you heard me mention them before?
They have amazing quality knobs at great prices! They are by far my favorite!!

I am in love.
She is headed to the Nest to be put up for sale…if I can part with her that is.
She would look amazing in my living room.

I love the distressing on your milk painted dresser. But, how did you do it? What technique did you use? Can you please put up a tutorial about it? Also, what is milk paint? How does it differ from other paints such as latex or chalk paint? Oh, I have soo many questions for you!
    Just learning Joan
