In the last few years, we began the tradition of going on a brief family vacation … just me, my husband Chris and our girls Emma and Ana. No others. No family stress and strain. Just a nice time to be together and reconnect. A time to recharge. It is always an awesome time. This year was no exception. We took a three hour trip to Wildwood Crest, New Jersey and stayed in a nice hotel right on the beach. Being right on the beach and watching the waves roll in was such a treat. We connected with our girls. Ana learned to boogey board for the first time and Emma learned to body surf. We played in the pool and in the ocean for hours basking in the sun and just enjoying us. It was glorious. Here are some pictures from our little trip:
We have arrived!
The first task was to go to the beach.
The view was well worth the drive.
Emma took a picture for us…obviously we need to work on both looking the correct way, but overall, Emma did well.
We played hard. And we slept hard.
Swimming is hard work after all.
The girls had a blast!
We unofficially celebrated Emma’s upcoming 10th birthday during the trip.
We thought a trip to the beach to be a pretty nice gift.We even found the ice cream truck :O)
A wonderful time was had by all.
