Hi everyone!
I wanted to past last evening, BUT I was so daggone tired that I couldn’t keep my eyes open.
So….I am back this morning after a good night of sleep energized and raring to go!
I typically show a before picture of my projects, BUT I had I-Pad issues last week…I chose to install the newest software and it turned out to be a major headache.
I thought a software update would be a good thing to do, right?
Well, I kind of regret it now as I found out the hard way I never properly backed up my pictures and videos.
I had to fully restore it to factory settings losing all my apps as we as 8,000 valuable pictures of my family, special times, my girls as well as all my pieces and projects.
OUCH.
It was a bit traumatic.I had most things saved, but not the last month or two of my pictures as I was having some issues loading them onto my laptop.
My advice: Be sure you fully know what you are committing to before updating software. And be sure you are ready.
It took four days to restore, too.
Needless to say, it was a royal pain.
So…I don’t have a before picture to share, but I think you can imagine the before.
Here are the after pictures of this sweet desk:
I used Valspar’s Lincoln White Sash and sealed it up in Country Chic’s Natural Wax.
Isn’t it crisp and fresh?
I love seeing a nice piece of worn furniture transformed into a true beauty.

I love refinishing furniture. My husband says I have an addiction! I think he is right. This is a beautiful desk. I especially like the sanded edges and hardware. I can only imagine how ugly the original desk was — my mom had a similar desk and it was awful. Great job!!
What a beautiful piece! It makes me want to pick up my paintbrush!
That is awful about your pictures and camera! I know you were sick about it.
Thanks so much for sharing your awesomeness at Show Me Saturday! Please join us again this weekend!
