If you don’t already believe in the power of paint, you surely will after you see this makeover!
I scored this stinkin’ awesome vintage hutch about 2 weeks ago…I don’t typically redo pieces as large as this one as I cannot fit them to transport them home in my Jeep, but I thought this would fit fine. I purchased it and didn’t measure it before I began to load it into my Jeep. Once I realize I was just inches from making it fit, I became bound and determined to make it work.
Well, I managed to get it in and the hatch shut, but my driver’s seat was as far up as it would go. I squeezed in and managed to drive the 2 miles home without any issues.’
It was pretty uncomfortable though.
I was glad it worked out because I love how it turned out!
I used a mistinted (meaning on sale) quart of paint I had purchased from Benjamin Moore and a deep charcoal grey on the inside of the shelves.
I think it really makes a statement now!
Are you a believer now?
Paint can do some amazing things.
