I saw this very pretty cabinet posted for sale. I always loved these Depression-era china cabinets, but had never painted one.
Hard to believe but it is true!
I loved the dark wood and the fret work on the inside of the door really caught my eye.
I decided to go for it.
I loved the size…it was a nice size and not too hulking huge.
I chose to paint in neutral colors.
I figured this would best be suited for a dining room so I wanted to keep that in mind when painting it.
I went with a white and grey combination…I painted the exterior of the cabinet in Annie Sloan’s Old White Chalk Paint and the interior in Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint in Schloss.
I distressed her all over and then sealed it up in Annie Sloan’s Clear Wax.
I adore how it came out!
So perfectly darling! Doesn’t she look awesome after her makeover?
She sold very quickly…always a good sign that someone else loved her, too!
Thanks for reading 🙂
