How cute is this dresser that I discovered for sale on Craigslist?
Admit it…she is homely.
She had some weird flowers stenciled on her and she was painted in a mauve paint.
That is not even a nice word.
Even my Emma mentioned how the hardware was upside down.
Why yes it did look strange that way.
Some may have turned up their nose and moved on, BUT some may see the potential.
Would you have seen it?
Could you have made her over in your mind?
I certainly could so I contacted the seller right away.
Luckily I was first in line!
You gotta move fast where I live…so many people have taken up painting.
I picked it up over the weekend and I had actually bought a dresser from the same seller in the past ironically.
I buy lots of pieces!
I loaded it up and off I went with high hopes for a much need makeover.
Wouldn’t you agree?
I was feeling coral on this one.
Color inspires me and this one needed to be painted in shade of coral.
Well, I would describe the color I chose as more of an apricot actually, but it is close enough.
I chose to paint this ugly duckling dresser in Valspar’s Marmalade Magic and added some very light distressing to the piece.
Well…it turned out to be quite the dramatic transformation.
I mean that in a good way.
Isn’t she darling?
I just LOVE that color!
What else can I paint with it???
She is going to be picked up tomorrow 🙂
Never judge a book by its cover…you just NEVER know!
