I had been searching for the perfect piece to paint yellow for MONTHS.
Well…I finally found it!
This sweet antique dresser would look perfect in yellow…it is darling!
I had been wanting to paint a piece in Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint in Mustard Seed Yellow.
I decided to skip the Bonding Agent and just got for it and see if the milk paint would chip or not.
Would you believe it chipped just perfectly?
I painted it in about 3 good coats and let the magic happen.
I sanded off the chipped paint and distressed it up a bit and then sealed up the entire piece in Miss Mustard Seed’s Hemp Oil.
Sometimes when the paint is looking chippy before sanding it can be a little scary as it can be hard to envision how it will turn out.
I have done pieces in milk paint when it has chipped more than I would have liked as well as less than I would have liked, but this piece….
…the amount of chipping was perfect.
And now I am in love.
Hemp Oil is fantastic…I was able to use it on the wood knobs as well to revive the wood – I think it looks really lovely.
My creative self is satisfied now.
I just love this sweet chippy yellow dresser!
And just to pass the word…
She is available to be seen or purchased at Fresh Vintage by Amy in Strasburg, PA if you are looking for a cute piece like this.
