I didn’t intend to buy two awesome dressers.
It just kinda happened.
I stopped back to an antique shop to pick up a purchase from the previous week when I spotted two gorgeous dressers.
I mean…they were right at the entrance to the store.
How could I walk right by?
And impulsively bought them.
Sometimes you have to search for pieces far and wide and at other times, they land right in front of your nose.
Split second decisions often become the norm…you have to think fast or pieces can be sold right out from under you.
It doesn’t take long to figure that out.
I don’t regret it one bit.
This highboy was my favorite.
I could not decide a color for the life of me so I just picked one of my favorite shades of milk paint and went to work.
I knew I couldn’t go wrong.
I think he is well suited to wear Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk paint in Shutter Grey.
I distressed this chest and sealed it up in Miss Mustard Seed’s Hemp Oil when I finished it.
I had added Bonding Agent to be sure I wouldn’t have any unforeseen chipping paint on this piece.
He was a smooth operator for sure 😉
I used a sanding block to polish up the pulls….I love how they came out too.
And that mirror…oh that glorious mirror.
It is like the cherry on the hot fudge sundae.
He is such a looker.
He can be seen or purchased at Fresh Vintage by Amy in Strasburg for $325.
I just know he is going to find a great new home 😉
