I didn’t mind driving 45 minutes one way for this lovely depression-era beauty.
My pleasure.
The picture was a little unclear so I wasn’t sure quite what I was getting.
I was more than pleasantly surprised.
I loved her tiered look, her turned legs and all her pretty carved details.
Oh my.
Isn’t she a doll?
She came with an amazing mirror too … I couldn’t wait to get her painted up!
She had wear overall for her age…the wood top was in VERY nice shape and I thought refinishing it would allow me to keep some of her original charm.
I used Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint in Schloss…one of my most favorite colors ever!
I used the Bonding Agent too to be safe…I wanted a smooth finish on this girl.
Three coats, some distressing in all the right places and Hemp Oil on the base and she was looking good!
The top was lightly sanded and given a nice coat of Miss Mustard Seed Hemp Oil to enhance her beauty.
Then I sealed that top well in poly so it would be protected for a good, long time.
Look how pretty 🙂
She is for sale at Fresh Vintage by Amy in Strasburg if you like her, too 🙂
Amazing!!!
