Sweet Vintage China Cabinet Makeover

I loved this cute china cabinet when I saw it…it was so vintage sweet!
I hadn’t painted one in awhile so I decided to buy it and refinish it.
It was adorable and I simply couldn’t resist!

I thought green would be the perfect color, but when I checked my stash, I saw that I didn’t have quite enough of Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint in Boxwood and thought I would add some of my Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint in Farmhouse White. I wanted to lighten it up a bit…not too much as I love Boxwood, but just a smidge.

One of the things that I love about milk paint is how easily colors can be mixed to create NEW colors!
It is so fun and I can be the ultimate MIXOLOGIST!
So….a lot of Boxwood mixed with some Farmhouse White and I created a gorgeous green milk paint…
it is spectacular color!

I did mix the milk paint with Miss Mustard Seed’s Bonding Agent as I didn’t want the piece to get especially chippy.
Worked like a dream.
I lightly sanded the inside of the cabinet and shelves and wiped on that magical solution called Miss Mustard Seed’s Hemp Oil.
That product is amazing to revive wood … I would own it even if I didn’t refinish furniture!
I also sealed the outside in Hemp Oil, too

Check out the end result:

The wood was nice in spots so I left it natural on some areas…I love how that came out!
