French Linen Beauty

Shopping for pieces can be fun…or frustrating.
Finding good pieces lately can be a challenge.
Seems everyone is painting.
So much competition.
So when I found this cute and very sturdy dresser with nice mirror, I was pretty happy.
She has simple lines, but so much potential.
Can you see her all painted up pretty?

Look past the nicks and bent hardware and you will see it.
No piece is every perfect you know.
The sooner you ditch that idea, the better.
Every piece I paint is imperfect.
And I am OK with that.
Perfection is overrated anyway.

I envisioned her in a soft color with some amazing hardware.
I painted her up in Annie Sloan’s French Linen which is one of my favorite neutrals (its very similar in color to Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint in Schloss which also happens to be a favorite of mine)
After distressing, I sealed her up in Annie Sloan’s Clear Wax.

Choosing hardware was so fun on this piece…I raided my stash of D. Lawless Hardware and chose some very cool ones that I had just ordered.
You can find them HERE if you want to order some, too!
They look pretty nice on this piece and I think that hardware just pulled her look all together :)

I took her to Blue Dandelion in Strasburg which is where I sell some of my pieces.
She sold pretty quickly and is destined for a sweet baby girl’s nursery.
That just makes my heart happy.
