Striking Antique Server in Emperor’s Silk

I purchased this cute antique server from a furniture contact of mine.
I spotted her from across the room in all her worn and beat up glory.
I saw right past her worn finish.
She would be just lovely.
That I knew.

She  needed to be brought back to life.
She was the perfect candidate for a bold, rich color…like RED.
Oh yes…RED!
What a great piece for this color!|
I couldn’t wait to get my paint brush moving!

Hello RED.
She is stunning in Annie Sloan’s Chalk Paint in Emperor’s Silk with some distressing on her details.
I used Annie Sloan’s Clear Wax to seal her.
I added two gorgeous cut glass knobs from D. Lawless Hardware…they looks fantastic on her large drawer!
And I lined that drawer in some pretty black and white striped paper…it’s the perfect little touch.
What a transformation she had!
And what a difference …

She’s available for sale at Blue Dandelion by Tiffany in Strasburg, PA if you are interested.
She would make a great statement piece :)
