Stunning Church Pew Makeover

I jumped on this one RIGHT AWAY.
Wouldn’t you?

Check out this awesome antique church pew I found for sale on a Facebook sale site…I was so excited about it!
I was more than happy to drive a bit to pick her up.

Based on this picture, I wondered if the wood could even be left as is as it looked so lovely, but once I got there, I saw it was not in the best of shape as it had markings and imperfections (woo hoo!)  and would best be painted.
Fine by me ;)

I considered a bunch of neutral colors so it could be used practically in someone’s home…I always consider where a piece will go when painting it.
I love hot pink, but not many want a bold pink coffee table for example.
Considering he location and function of a piece  is an  important part of what I do.

I decided to go white because I love it.
You know what I say…there is just something about white.
Plus everyone loves white furniture!

I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White with Annie Sloan Clear Wax.
I am surely happy that I did!

Isn’t this antique pew stunning?
I LOVE how she came out!
