Old White Stunner

Detailed Dresser in Old White - Before -Embracing Change

I had to make an hour drive one way for this beauty.
I don’t mind driving, but not knowing what you might find once you get there can be unnerving.
You just hope it will be worth the trip.
It’s a gamble.

Once I got where I was going I realized that I had made a good decision as this art deco era dresser was wicked cool.
I don’t think I have ever seen one quite so detailed!
Check out all those carvings on the front drawers!
It was a amazing dresser and more than worth the drive!

I was excited to get started with her makeover and to distress all those amazing details.
Distressing excites me.

I chose to go with Annie Sloan Old White as she wasn’t perfect and she did have some cosmetic flaw. I also wanted to distress her well and chalk paint is easy and fun to distress!
Messy…but fun.
I sealed her in Annie Sloan’s Clear Wax.

She came out just perfect.
I added some gorgeous cut glass knobs from D. Lawless Hardware and she was ready for her reveal.
Isn’t this dresser SPECTACULAR?
