I loved this sweet server the second I laid eyes on her!
She was petite and I really liked her lines.
The curved front doors were so unique and I couldn’t wait to get my paint brush on her!
I thought she would look superb with a little color 🙂
I had seen Marion of Miss Mustard Seed had just painted up a cottage bed in a custom mixed milk paint color (Bespoke color) of 1/2 Boxwood and 1/2 Kitchen Scale…
Cottage Bed – Miss Mustard Seed
I couldn’t get that color out of my mind.
AND I just so happened to have MMS Milk Paint in Boxwood and Kitchen Scale!
Whoop whoop!
I mixed them up and got to work!
I distressed her once I was done and then sealed her up in Miss Mustard Seed’s Hemp Oil.
How about this sweet little beauty?
Yes she sure is precious!
That color does me in.
Milk paint triumphs once again!
awesome post
Hi! This is just the color combo I’ve been looking for. I’m new to painting furniture and would like to do this on my new bedroom door. How did you go about distressing it after painting? Sanding block? Also how many coats of paint did you do? Any advice you have would be greatly appreciated! Your finish is exactly what I want (as opposed to the overly cracked and finishes where you see the brush strokes. Thanks so much!
