When I spotted this amazing antique chest on a Facebook sale site, I about lost my mind.
Isn’t it AMAZING?
I love this Empire chest with her carved wood pulls and alligator-like texture…she was dreamy!
I considered refinishing her in stain or hemp oil, but the top did have some moderate damage from water stains and such so I chose to go the route of paint.
I really thought she needed a bold color with great richness so I finally settled upon Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint in Boxwood with a touch of Antiquing Wax.
I didn’t use but a touch of Bonding Agent although the paint adhered well without any chipping on this piece.
Boxwood is a great color choice for fall 🙂
Didn’t she turn out so pretty?
She’s available for sale at Blue Dandelion in Strasburg for $329 if you like her.
She is just lovely all decked out for Christmas!
Thanks for swinging by – have a blessed day!
