I feel like painting has been a bit of a struggle since our move to our new home on July 31st.
We had about 3 weeks to move and settle into our new home before school began after a crazy summer of packing and house hunting.
Being that I work in the school as well, I was back to work just as quickly.
So…needless to say although the last six months have been a blessing, they have been very busy.
Busy means I haven’t had as much time to paint as I normally do so it has left me less productive than I would normally be.
But…that is how life rolls and sometimes seasons bring changes and the ebb and flow of life is altered,
I am trying to be OK with that.
So…I am painting less, but I did manage to finish a few things before Christmas including this cute chest of drawers.
She wasn’t perfect, but that’s kinda how I like them.
Perfection is overrated 😉
I liked it.
I have been in the mood for black this past month so choosing a color was easy.
I used Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint in Typewriter with the Bonding Agent added.
I painted on three coats and then distressed her to imperfect perfection.
She was sealed in Miss Mustard Seed’s Hemp Oil.
I did change out the hardware by adding some lovely cut glass knobs from D. Lawless Hardware.
The knobs are great quality and the price is so right!
You can order some by checking out the website HERE.
She is super cute now wouldn’t you agree?
Have a blessed day, friends 🙂
