I am well aware that this chest, although cool, was relatively uninteresting.
Very boring and dull.
But you know me…I saw something in this one.
I couldn’t wait to work some paint magic on it!
I did some light sanding on this chest with a coarse grit sanding block to get her ready for milk paint.
A little prep work is always helpful when working with milk paint.
I had no bonding agent on my shelf SO I took a risk of painting this chest without the bonder not knowing how this one would turn out.
I was livin’ on the edge I tell ya.
I used Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint in Schloss – a wonderful warm greige.
I distressed it and embraced the chippiness that resulted – it was just right!
I sealed it in Miss Mustard Seed’s Hemp Oil to finish.
She turned out beautifully!
She is stunning!
I love a good makeover!
