My goodness…isn’t this the cutest little antique radio cabinet?
I fell for it right away!
Just look at those adorable arched doors and little drop pulls…. seriously cute!
I know it really isn’t much to look at right now, but stay with me…I had a plan (of course)!
Usually these pieces come with an old radio inside, but I was lucky with this piece as someone had already removed it and added a shelf
to the inside which was AWESOME.
I envisioned his piece could be used in someone’s home in many ways… powder room storage, hallway décor, or even a little bookshelf in a child’s room.
I love charming little pieces like this – they are so fun to redo!
I loved the wood and wanted to paint with a product that would appear natural and authentic to the age of the piece so I chose to go with Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint in a bespoke mix of Farmhouse White and Grainsack.
I painted on several coats and then distressed it all over so it would appear worn.
I sealed up the cabinet in Miss Mustard Seed’s Furniture Wax which I adore – it is just a fantastic product!
Once the painting was finished, I moved onto the inside of the cabinet and added some sweet floral wallpaper to line the shelves.
My vision was complete and she turned out JUST like I wanted her to!
She even has some lovely chipping and crazing of the milk paint – I LOVE THAT!
Have a look…
She is simply adorable!
Needless to say, I had a line of interest for this piece.
I know she will make someone very happy 🙂
