I FOUND THIS ON THE CURB, Y’ALL.
Well, a friend messaged me to tell me it was there, but it was there…out for the trash.
She messaged me to let me know and I got into my car and headed right over to save her!
This gorgeous dresser could NOT go to the trash.
I would seriously cry.
This beauty is so stately and solid and an old beauty.
I just LOVE empire dressers and this one was A-MAZ-ING!
This chest even came with the original key that locked all those awesome, heavy drawers.
I just couldn’t believe it!
What a find!
I wanted to go BOLD on this one.
In your face BOLD.
And since my mind is on the FALL season, I chose to use Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint in a bold color…OUTBACK PETTICOAT.
No bonder, just milk paint in all its natural goodness.
Outback is not the easiest color to capture in a photograph, but it is a lively, bold orange that is so fun!
I love how chippy and crusty my piece looked when I was done (thanks milk paint!)
After all, I want a refinished piece made to look authentically aged…not a new one.
The ceramic knobs are from D. Lawless Hardware…aren’t they pretty?
I am so happy I found this beauty.
I surely will be keeping my eyes open to the curb on trash night now 😉
