The Creative Inspirations Linky Party is postponed until next week…
I have to renew my subscription to Linky Tools so we can keep it going this year so hopefully I will be back in gear for next week’s party.
In the meantime, I want to share a very recent makeover I did on the prettiest of dressers!
This dresser did a number on me.
I fell in LOVE at first sight.
Sometimes that happens 😉
It’s a weak in the knees thing.
Look at those details.
I wanted to use Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint for this makeover because when the wood is as gorgeous as this is, I like to pick the very best paint.
One that allows the wood to breathe and one that appears natural on the piece.
Milk paint was the best choice.
I chose to use Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint in Grain Sack which is white that has a distinct grey undertone.
It’s one of my favorite whites in her line…it’s a great color with fantastic coverage for a white.
I used Bonding Agent in the mix to assure the finish wouldn’t be chippy as that wasn’t the look I hoped to achieve.
I think I painted on 4-5 coats for full coverage – you always need more with the whites.
Once I was finished, she was distressed and then sealed up in Miss Mustard Seed’s Furniture Wax and buffed to a pretty sheen.
She’s all done.
And it’s a HAPPY 😉
She’s one beautiful classic piece.
I love her even more now.
