I SCORED this amazing desk last week – I was BEYOND EXCITED!
My husband was equally excited and was hoping he could keep it for his office.
I would have said YES but I knew he didn’t have the space for this desk he loved 🙁
I had to let him down gently.
I totally would have LOVED for him to have it, but space in his office is an issue.
So…onto PLAN B with this beauty.
So I saw it as a handsome desk…straight lines, classy and with a presence.
I decided to use a deep, rich green for this desk – I used Country Chic Paint’s Hallow Hill.
It a favorite green of mine!
I sealed the base and top of the desk in Annie Sloan’s Clear Wax as it seem to be the most durable wax in my opinion.
My original plan to the paint the entire desk as I did have to patch some spots where the wood was missing on the top.
I started with painting the base and then began to wonder if a painted/wood tone look for this desk may be a good plan.
The wood on the drawer fronts was stunning and with the use of Miss Mustard Seed’s Hemp Oil t refresh them, they POPPED and CAME TO LIFE!
I couldn’t paint them.
They were so lovely!
I even used the Hemp Oil on the hardware to shine it up!
Once I put the original hardware back on, I stepped back to have a look and I knew right away the decision to do this desk in a two tone finish was a great choice.
This desk is just stunning!
This desk is incredibly good looking – no wonder it sold so quickly!
