French Provincial Two-Tiered Beauty

I feel like this gorgeous French Provincial two-tiered chest needs little introduction... this one speaks for herself. She's GORGEOUS. She didn't need my help to become beautiful...she came that way. I just wanted to give her a makeover to make her even MORE beautiful. She really just needed paint...and the paint make a great deal of difference. I used Annie Sloan's Paris Grey Chalk … [Read more...]

A Much Needed Makeover

How cute is this dresser that I discovered for sale on Craigslist? Admit it...she is homely. She had some weird flowers stenciled on her and she was painted in a mauve paint. M...A...U...V...E. That is not even a nice word. Even my Emma mentioned how the hardware was upside down. Why yes it did look strange that way. Some may have turned up their nose and moved on, BUT some may see the … [Read more...]

Minty French Provincial Dresser

I love French Provincial pieces of furniture...they are just so pretty. How can one resist? I couldn't resist this sweet dresser... She was just adorable! With a little love and some paint, she is looking just lovely!  I used Valspar's Green Gala for this makeover...I distressed the piece and sealed her up in clear wax. I also painted and distressed her pulls as well. she is so fresh … [Read more...]

French Provincial Boxwood Buffet

I wish all pieces that I purchased to redo were this beautiful right from the start. 9 times out of 10 they are not, but this one was one of the few that was pretty when I picked it up. The top was pretty scratched up and did require some sanding, but the body of the buffet was in fabulous shape. My heart always goes pitter patter for French Provincial pieces and when I saw this beauty, I was … [Read more...]

French Provincial Desk in Bloom

I guest posted on Country Chic Paint's blog the other day about a sweet desk I made over using Country Chic Paint in one of the limited edition colors called Bloom. My apologies for not having a  before picture of the desk...I did, but I lost a ton of pictures on my IPad. So I have the after...and that truly is the most important part anyway. I love this color. Bloom is a rich coral...almost a … [Read more...]

Salvaged French Provincial Dresser

This cute little dresser sat all alone abandoned at the curb.  It was a sad sight to see such a lovely dresser discarded and left for garbage. My furniture loving heart was sad. I realize not everyone appreciates furniture like I do though. Not everyone sees potential in a discarded piece of furniture. I couldn't leave it sitting there all sad so into my Jeep it went. I knew she could be … [Read more...]
