Good evening friends!
Remember I told you about this dresser the other week?
And just this week, I walked you through what I did to repair all that chipped veneer on the drawer fronts.
Click HERE to see how I managed to save this dresser!
So…with all that said and done, it’s time for her BIG reveal!
I can’t wait!!!
Check this out…
The color I used is Annie Sloan’s Chalk Paint in Graphite which is not a pure black, but more of a deep, smoky charcoal.
I distressed the dresser once I painted her and then sealed it up with Annie Sloan’s Clear Wax.
The top was lovely once I used some Citristrip on it to remove the old finish.
The grain was just so nice so I chose to just apply some pretty Miss Mustard Seed’s White Wax all over the top to soften it and give it a white washed look.
I think it came out really great!
The large cut-glass knobs are from D. Lawless Hardware …certainly check them out because they are fantastic!
So despite having to remove all the veneer on the large drawer fronts, I was able to save those cute details and paint right over the drawers once I sanded all the wood smooth.
Now that’s ONE SERIOUS makeover!
Such a difference!
Before and After:
She was TOTALLY worth all the work 🙂
It,s beautiful.
